Gingerbread Playhouse Plans

The gingerbread playhouse plans are now available at Playhouse Planner.  This adorable playhouse has an 8'x8' foot print as well as a loft big enough for a twin size mattress.  If you have a general understanding about construction, have time on your hands and are handy with a jigsaw, you should be able to build this playhouse yourself.  And don't forget, we're always happy to answer any questions.

Although it has a lot of detail, the playhouse plans were designed with economy in mind.  The 8'x8' plan works well with standard lumber dimensions, and handmade shutters are used instead of pricey windows.  The base is built similar to a deck, so if any water gets through the shutters it will drain out.

  

Oh, did I mention there is an additional adult sized door on one end.  Most adults can fit through the front door, but if you want to use it for something else such as a garden shed when the kids are grown this larger door will come in handy.  Speaking of doors, the front door is a dutch door.  What kid wouldn't love that!
