Dietz Dollhouse

In my search for old historical children's playhouses I ran across this beautiful image on Flickr by Nancy Kissiar. After a bit of research, I found some interesting information on the the Seguin Conservation Society's site. In 1910 Louis Dietz and his sister, Miss Mollie, adopted 5 year old Alice O'Brien. Louis, a skilled carpenter, quickly went to work building Alice this beautifully detailed playhouse now known as the Dietz Dollhouse. The house has been moved a couple of times, but is now located next to Los Nogales Museum at 415 S. River Street, Seguin, Texas.
