Playhouse Type: Outdoor Play Structures

Outdoor play structures have elements such as slides, swings, and climbing walls that encourage children to be more active. They often have bridges and tunnels taking them from one tower to another. Because of their nature they are almost always multilevel structures.

These structures are common fixtures in back yards, but are also a popular choice for playgrounds. The are great for the active child that needs to run and play and just be a kid.

Barbara Butler designed the play structure pictured above. She is in my opinion one of the best play structure designer/builders out there.
