Knitted Houses

Mafuyu, a knit artist has designed wearable houses titled My Town in My Home. I know this may seem like a bit of a stretch, but I'm sure there are some crafty people out there that could take this idea and run with it. You may not want your children to wear their playhouse, but these would be perfect for toddlers to play in. I don't know exactly how they hold their form, but a cardboard box could serve as a frame for a knitted "slip cover." As a child I remember draping one of my grandmothers handmade afghans over chairs to create a private den. The light filtered through the loosely knitted orange granny squares into my own little world. I could keep watch on my surroundings, but no one could see me.
